I met Melanie sometime ago at a Mums and tots and when I found her page on Facebook and saw she was doing a special offer of a photo shoot and prints I jumped at the chance, this was back in November. I had originally planned the shoot for December but due to illness had to cancel and we didn’t get a chance to re-book until April. Melanie was very patient and understanding and I was still able to use the package I had bought almost 5 months earlier. On the day, we met Melanie on location and she put us all at ease very quickly and even got the youngest to actually look at the camera something I can never do! The Pictures were fantastic very natural and just what I wanted. I will definitely be using Melanie again in the future and cannot recommend her highly enough.

“We hired Melanie to shoot our son’s Naming Celebration on a wonderful 2010 September day. We had initially looked for photographers in the Birmingham area, but the ones we had found at the time were not ‘the right ones’. Quite apart from their not-so-customer-caring attitude and their rather exaggerated prices, we felt that the chemistry was never quite right. We could not find anyone who offered flexibility, enthusiasm, empathy or who suggested good ideas for the shoot – until we accidentally stumbled upon an on-line photo album which contained pictures shot by Melanie! We found her blog and looked at her portfolio, and that was it: we wanted her. We called her on the phone and she was nice, friendly, approachable and explained everything in detail. We met in person before the shoot in order to go through the day’s technicalities and timetables, and Melanie came up with some great ideas for shots. On the day, she was so discreet we hardly noticed she was there! We went home the same evening, burning with curiosity to view the “sneak peek” on Melanie’s journal, and there we had yet another confirmation that our choice was the right one: the pictures were stunning! The warmth, feeling and emotion that transpires through them cannot easily be put into words – and our guests still compliment us on our choice of photographer! We’re getting married in July this year and, needless to say, Melanie is going to be immortalising our very special day. We could not have chosen anybody better – professional, friendly, empathic and excellent at transforming your special instant into a wonderful, life-long memory.”

I was yet to find a photographer who could capture images for my acting portfolio exactly the way i required until i met Melanie Martin.
The images were a wide range of shots that i was very happy with, I was especially impressed with the way Melanie was able to capture my eyes in the headshots as this is something that other photographers have struggled to do in the past.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself that day. When a photoshoot includes jumping up and down on top of a multi-storey car park, Melanie proved what taking photo’s should be about……having fun and lots of it!
